Enscape 3.4 just released! Say hello to a more seamless design and visualization workflow.
This latest release brings helpful updates to existing features as a means of further elevating your design experience with Enscape.

If you’ve wished to have categories in the Custom Asset Library, then you’re in luck! Categories are now available in the Custom Asset Library for better management. With this new categorization system, sorting and filtering through custom assets are so much easier.
For imported assets, you can drag and drop them into your defined categories for better organization.
If you need to share your libraries with your team, all your pre-defined categories will be visible to all users. For more information on this, take a look at Enscape official’s Knowledge Base article.
Prior to the 3.4 update, any set sun positions would reset every time Enscape is restarted. However, you can now save your sun positions in Enscape views.
Set the stage with natural lighting and use the sun’s rays to highlight certain design elements. Utilize the slider controls and input fields to produce specific sun positions for a range of views. If you find a sun position you like, you can set, save, and replicate them for other views.
Once you’ve installed Enscape 3.4, go to View Management > Create View to adjust the sun position by using the sliders, the input fields, or the keyboard shortcuts (Ctrl+U/I for azimuth and Shift+U/I for altitude).
Enscape 3.4 allows you to adjust the camera and sun position of your existing saved views. Long gone are the days of needing to create a new view every time you need to change an angle or lighting.
How can you utilize this upgraded feature? First, go to View Management, then select the Edit icon next to the view you’d like to amend. You can easily change the name, visual preset, camera position, and sun position in one place.

This enhancement has been long requested by our beloved Enscape community. Thanks to technical improvements in how we capture objects placed at a distance from a reflective surface, users can enjoy more realistic reflections in their visualizations.
Enscape’s 3.4 update also provides a higher texture and material quality in reflections. All reflected materials experience full-resolution texture maps, with the default setting on High. Improved reflections is noticeable in still images and real-time walkthroughs for those with a graphics card that supports hardware-accelerated ray tracing (NVIDIA RTX or AMD 6xxx series). However, the appearance of reflections won’t change in animated videos.
